Birth Sessions | $2600

Starting at your 38-week mark, I am on-call for your birth. When you say it's happening, I drop whatever I’m doing and come to the hospital, birth center, or home and stay there until you have a baby in your hands. I stay for an additional 1-2 hours after the birth to document all the excitement & skin & introductions & tears & love. The final number of finished images varies, as the amount of time of each birth varies so greatly. (For sibling meetings or newborn photos, please see add-ons)

Family Storytelling Sessions | $1495

This is the session I do the majority of the time. Storytelling Sessions last about 4 hours and take place at your home (we can usually squeeze in another location you and your people care about as well—the beach, a walk around the neighborhood, favorite sushi spot). In the end you’ll have 100ish finished images that will become your (beautiful) time travel machine for when you want to look back at what a typical day was like “when they were little”.

Smaller Sessions | $895

For the most part I simply do the one type of family session (above), but occasionally there are smaller things—one-concept, fewer-people things—things like maternity shoots or newborn-without-older-siblings shoots—that don’t require the same level of time, and don’t leave me feeling unsatisfied if I’ve tried to squeeze too much into too short a time. These smaller sessions last about 1.5 hours and take place at a single location. (Please note, these are done on a pretty limited basis and only when it’s truly appropriate. 90% of my sessions fall under Family Storytelling).

Day in the Life Sessions | $2400

This session is essentially just like my Storytelling Session, but even longer. It is literally all day. And I love it. If you’re in to all the little things like me, this is what you want. It’s wake-up and PJs and pancakes and chores and dance class and potty training and the beach with friends and trips to the grocery store and multi-tasking and all. the. feelings. Day in the Life Sessions last about 10-12 hours and you end up with about 250 images of love and tears and tooth brushing.

Special Things | $Varies

There are so many special traditions different families have- from big things like an annual trip to the lake every July or camping in the Redwoods every anniversary, to small things like cutting down and trimming a Christmas Tree every December or a Summer Solstice bonfire & breakfast on the beach. While it might feel strange to invite me along to your family’s intimate time together, having pictures of of these things you do can prove to be very meaningful.

I am game to document just about anything that matters to you— Rites of passage for your soon-to-be teenager, Shabbat with the grandparents, weekends in the snow, weekends at the farm, adoption day, full moon mother-daughter hikes, family reunions, Diwali festivities, Thanksgiving at the house you grew up in . . . if your family has special rituals, annual vacations,

  • All sessions include travel within Bay Area, up to 50 miles from San Francisco. Beyond that additional travel fees apply.

  • All sessions are painstakingly culled, edited, and beautified with my own obsessive eyes and hands until I have put together a complete and beautiful collection of images that I feel tells your story.

  • All sessions include both the high and low res finished files, delivered via a password-protected online gallery from where you will both download and, if desired, order physical products that you can hold in your hands and hang on your walls.

  • All sessions are delivered to you 6-8 weeks after your session. (Sometimes what I really mean is 8-10 weeks)

  • All portrait sessions include up to five immediate family members. Beyond that a $100 charge will be applied for each additional body due to the additional time/work/images.
